Selection process

The selection process starts with either a job advert, or an ad hoc enquiry.

1. Job advert

A job advert will be displayed on this website and/or on, and publicised via Facebook and LinkedIn.

2. Register you interest

If you are interested then email a CV with a covering letter. We are a small setting so, initially a sweep is carried out to see if you meet the criteria for the job. If we are not interested in your application then you will receive a rejection notification.

3. We are interested in You

Your details will be passed to the manager dealing with the vacancy. They will contact you by phone for a brief discussion and confirm that the interest in proceeding is mutual. Sometimes we may suggest that a different role may be more suitable.

4. Formal application

To ensure the process is as fair and standard as possible, you will be asked to complete an application form. The responses you give and the contents of your CV will form the basis of the interview discussions. Again, the application forms are validated to ensure you are still a good fit with the vacancy.

5. F2F interview(s)

You will be invited in for at least one interview and for some roles a series of interviews. This is an opportunity to see the setting at first-hand and for us to discuss your experience and the role in more detail.

6. Trial session

For child-facing roles we will want to see how you interact with the children, so that we can assess your style of teaching. We will also be looking to see whether you will fit in and blend with the existing team - being a small setting, this is vital.

7. A decision to employ

Finally, once all the candidates have been assessed, the management team will make a decision, as to who we want to make an offer of employment to. Once any offer has been accepted all the candidates will be made aware of the decision and how it affects them.
